About Boozer
A longtime advocate for Marietta’s historic charm, economic vitality, and strong sense of community, Boozer brings a wealth of experience, deep local ties, and a passion for public service to the race.
Boozer and his wife, Julianne Chilton McClure, a Marietta native, have built their life and raised their family here. They are the proud parents of two grown children who graduated from Marietta High School, a testament to the McClure’s long-standing connection to the city and its schools.
A small business owner and active community leader, Boozer, along with Julianne, own and operate Square Threads men’s and women clothing store on the Marietta Square. His perspective as a business owner on the Square gives him firsthand insight into the needs and challenges facing local businesses and the importance of smart, balanced growth in our historic downtown.


Boozer has a long record of civic engagement. He is a former board member of the Marietta Welcome Center, the Cobb/Marietta Art Museum, and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he serves on the City of Marietta’s Planning and Zoning Board, where he works to ensure responsible development that respects the character and heritage of our community.
As a candidate for City Council, Boozer will bring his years of experience, community involvement, and business perspective to the table, working to preserve what makes Marietta special while planning thoughtfully for the future. His focus is on strengthening our schools and neighborhoods, supporting local businesses, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring that residents’ voices are heard.
